Message from the Church in Bethlehem,
"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2
We invite BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST around the world to stand with the CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY IN THE HOLY LAND during this time of great need. Your GENEROUS DONATION will go DIRECTLY to our trusted partner PALESTINIAN CHURCH, with whom we have faithfully worked for many years.
Because of the ongoing crisis for more than 2.5 years, many have lost their jobs. Families who once lived with dignity are now struggling to meet their most basic needs. The Christian community in BETHLEHEM faces hardship, restricted movement and daily pressures that leave many feeling discouraged and forgotten.
But TOGETHER, AS THE BODY OF CHRIST, WE CAN BRING HOPE.
Through your support, the church will reach out to the MOST VULNERABLE: WIDOWS, THE ELDERLY, THE SICK, FAMILIES IN URGENT NEED - FOOD RELIEF, ESSENTIAL ITEMS, SPIRITUAL CARE.
THANK YOU FOR PRAYING, GIVING AND STANDING WITH THE CHURCH IN BETHLEHEM."
We would encourage you to support the House of Bread Church, a registered Evangelical Church in Bethlehem. The House of Bread Church supports the wider Ecumenical Church community in Bethlehem during these days of real hardship through: visiting Christian families, providing Christian fellowship and giving generously with food and general living supplies through support raised.
We should remember that the Bethlehem Church dates back to the earliest Church. We must remember them, support them and encourage them.

Previious Christians Abroad Holy Land & Jordan Special Projects
Shabab Sahra - this was a 2 phase 10 year project that ended in 2022.
Phase 1. We scoped out a young adults Bedouin project in S Jordan, which resulted in their own local registered NGO, 'Shabab Sahra.' For the young men, the activities were rock climbing and mountain guiding qualifications based upon establishing probably the Middle East's first indigenous rock climbing club; we also did business development training and a community vet helped with training in para vet skills. For the young women, there was also small business skills development, such as a sewing school, and a community nurse for helping with occupational therapy for the disabled in the community.
Phase 2. We connected the indigenous Church in Amman with Shabab Sahra, and did a series of Iraqi refugee respite camps. It was about time out, trauma download in among adventure activities and good Bedouin hospitality, and reflection together.
Galilee Multi-activity Days - We scoped out 6 training venues for a combination of mountain biking, rock climbing and kayaking with God spots for times of reflection. This involved networking with the Galilee and Bethlehem indigenous churches and bringing together their young adult leaders and those in their groups to teach that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ, that there is no hierarchy in the Kingdom of God. This was with the Bethlehem Church, Nazareth Messianics and Israel Arab Christians in Nazareth. The project took 2 years to bring together and one year to implement and finished just before the Covid lockdown.
