What sort of people are we looking for?

• Successful applicants are required to live and work in cultures very different from their own and will be expected to have personal and professional qualities that demonstrate adaptability, sensitivity, tolerance, and an inclination to learn as well as give

• Applicants must be able to carry out their work to a high standard of professionalism in conditions and with resources that may not match those they are used to at home. Often this will require a high degree of flexibility, creativity and ingenuity

• An ability to cope with cultural, spiritual and sometimes physical isolation may be an important asset

• Although not a prerequisite, previous overseas experience may be one indicator that some of these criteria have been met
