altThe Macao NGO runs HIV/Aids education, general teaching and healthcare programs among the Maasai people in the beautiful Ngorongoro district of Tanzania. One month would cost £2200, three months £3000. The costs include the return air fare, health and travel insurance, visa, healthchecks, CRB checks, food and accommodation and a donation to Christians Abroad to help cover administrative costs.

assistance volunteers to work in the community in Kitwe, Zambia. Placements are available from one to six months. The approximate cost for one month is £1500, and for six months, £2000, making this one of our cheapest placements.

Teaching and social care work near Darjeeling, India

altThe Rainbow Academyis a school for poor children set up by local Christians and is in need of volunteers to teach English and help with extra curricular activities.  ‘Shanti Kunj’ is a recently established small residential home for destitute old ladies in Siliguri, near Darjeeling. A female volunteer is needed to provide daily care for two ladies. For either project, one month would cost £1700, three months £2000. The total cost is made up of a return flight ticket, tourist visa, health and travel insurance, food and a donation towards the cost of Christians Abroad administration. Air fares vary according to season, however.

Teach in a Christian school in Albania

altGDQ International School is seeking Christian teachers for Levels 1 – 13. Situated in the capital Tirana, modern facilities and a modest housing allowance are available. The basic cost for one term would be approximately £2500. The cost includes a return air ticket, visa, insurance, accommodation and a donation towards the cost of  Christians Abroad administration fee. Air fares vary according to season, however.

Teach orphans in Kenya

One month would cost £2700, three months would cost £3700. The overall cost includes flights, visa, travel insurance, accommodation and meals, laundry and transport and a donation towards the cost of  Christians Abroad’s administration. Air fares vary according to season.

Teach in an Indian School

altWylie Memorial High School invites Christian qualified teachers to volunteer for six months to a year in this modern, well-equipped institution in the Punjab. The cost for a year is £2250. Free board and lodging plus an honorarium of £35 a month. The total cost includes air fares, visa, insurance and a donation towards the cost of Christians Abroad administration fee. Please be aware that air fares vary according to season. Board and lodging are provided free of charge, which, with the honorarium of £35 a month, makes this a very low cost placement.

Work with young children in South India

title Volunteers required to work with the children of St Antony Nursery and Primary School, in South India, run by the Unity Charitable Trust. Cost for a one month placement is approximately £2000.  Three months, approximately £2500. The overall cost is made up of air travel, visa, insurance, the project fees which include accommodation, meals and travel to and from the airport at Madurai, 55 km away, and a donation towards the cost of Christians Abroad administration.
