Christians Abroad has over 32 years experience in recruiting overseas personnel, supporting and advising individuals and other agencies. We also provide ecumenical services for Churches in the UK and Ireland. For agencies we provide:

Free telephone advice and information service. Please refer on to us people who apply to you for volunteer, mission worker or medical elective positions but whom you are unable to help or place. We will help them explore some more possibilities. Tel. 0870 770 3274 - (better to email as staff are often involved in the One to One interviews. Those wanting Christian agencies placements should email us via the contact details.

As an an umbrella body for the Criminal Records Bureau, we are offer Disclosure Criminal Records Checks and for a small fee will process criminal records checks for other agencies. Recruitment Service for your agency. We can advertise, short-list and interview for approved overseas churches and institutions, and for British and Irish churches seeking staff or mission workers for overseas appointment.

We offer group access at special rates for Travel Insurance and our travel book on-line Get Practical. Please contact us for more details.

Training - we use skilled external advisers and consultants and will help arrange training in interviewing, preparation, etc. Please contact us with your requirements.

Briefing and De-briefing for groups or individuals. Briefing includes country specific advice and cross-cultural awareness; de-briefing will help people talk through and understand their experiences. Please contact us.

Support for individuals

Travel Insurance Policies from specialised companies at different levels, from Gap Year to Comprehensive, for people doing manual tasks, and for people not leaving or returning to the UK. For longer-term volunteers appointed by or willing to be associated with Christians Abroad we can also arrange National Insurance payments at a special Voluntary Development Worker rate.

Briefing and de-briefing for individuals or groups. Enquire now about our one-day and two-day conferences for returning church workers, mission partners and volunteers. (This service is being replaced by an on-line service - watch this space).
