Should you have to cancel your trip for an insured reason
such as illness or serious accident preventing you from
travelling make sure that you take out your travel insurance
at the time of booking your trip as cover will commence for
pre-departure cancellation from the policy issue date.
International Travellers
who do not commence their journeys in the UK or who wish
manual or non-manual health and accident insurance
only might be eligible for cover through
Christians Abroad's Red Star Equity policy. Please

VOLUNTARY DEVELOPMENT WORKER NATIONAL INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS
Christians Abroad acts
as agent for special rates for developing countries for those appointed as CAB volunteers
or in association with churches and other approved projects.

acts as agent arranging air fares and visas for its volunteers or those in
association with churches and other approved projects-

Often with special rates, we use a travel agent that gives its profits to development work.
BRIEFING AND DE-BRIEFING
Christians Abroad arranges preparation and de-briefing on return
for international volunteers/paid workers for CAB volunteers or those in
association with churches and other approved projects-

CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS
Christians Abroad is an agent for CRB Checks for volunteers working with
children or vulnerable adults.

For people working or volunteering overseas
Do you want to keep up National Insurance payments while you are overseas? We are able to act as your agent if you are a volunteer or worker in development and mission. For many developing countries there is a special concessionary rate available
- Voluntary Development Worker - which preserves most UK benefits while you are away and is far cheaper than paying full rate in arrears when you return. You would need to be officially designated as a Christians Abroad 'volunteer'.
