Care for the disabled and elderly in Kenya
Interested in helping disabled people in Kenya? The Reach Out Disabled Foundation is seeking a volunteer for at least three months to manage and administrate the various programmes for disabled people of all ages. Cost: Three months approximately £2500. The
overall cost includes administration, air fare, visa, insurance and the
cost of food, accommodation and travel to work. Please be aware that air
fares vary according to season.
Situated in a village outside Nairobi, the newly established offices of the Reach Out Disabled Foundation need an experienced international aid professional with proven and significant senior management experience, research and advocacy. The need is for a suitably qualified person to manage and develop the various programs, which include classes from pre-school to high school levels, vocational training for adults and day care facilities for the elderly. Accommodation would be in the Central Park Hotel, Nairobi, with all modern conveniences.
Christians Abroad has not yet recruited volunteers for this project but has received good references from local Christian sources and from other volunteers.

Could I be a Volunteer?
You could be a volunteer if you are:
resident in the UK (even if temporarily), mainland Europe, the USA or Canada
an effective communicator in English
willing to work within Christian communities and support their values and interests.
single, part of a couple or parent of a family.
Could possibly raise or can afford approximately £1500.
