Care for the disabled and elderly in Kenya
Interested in helping disabled people in Kenya? The Reach Out Disabled Foundation is seeking a volunteer for at least three months to manage and administrate the various programmes for disabled people of all ages. Cost: Three months approximately £2500. The
overall cost includes administration, air fare, visa, insurance and the
cost of food, accommodation and travel to work. Please be aware that air
fares vary according to season.
Work Teams wanted in South Africa
Teams wanted for community building projects in South Africa. The Gateway Project, based in Pietermaritzburg, is looking for teams of Christian volunteers to help with practical work such as renovation and building work for various poverty-alleviating projects. Cost for one month: £2500. Reductions for groups. The total cost includes air fares, visa, insurance, accommodation, subsistence and a donation towards the cost of Christians Abroad administration. Work with HIV/Aids Orphans, Social Work and Health Care in Kenya
The Catholic Sisters of Motobo are looking for social work and healthcare assistance in their 'LIve with Hope' Centre for orphans in central Kenya for three months or more. Cost: Three months, £1600. The total price includes air fares, visa, insurance, accommodation, meals and a donation towards the cost of Christians Abroad administration.

You could be a volunteer if you are:
resident in the UK (even if temporarily), mainland Europe, the USA or Canada
an effective communicator in English
willing to work within Christian communities and support their values and interests.
single, part of a couple or parent of a family.
Could possibly raise or can afford approximately £1500.

What work would I do?
As a volunteer you might work with
Poor communities in Eastern Europe, Latin or Central America, Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Middle East, Pacific
Not for profit organisations such as schools, community projects and hospitals.
Projects supported by local Christian communities.
Your age, qualificaiton, skills and experience will be matched with the work that you can do.
