Opportunities For Short Term Self Funded Volunteer
Community Services Foundation provides a range of services to the poor in Mombasa, Kenya. Volunteers with medical skills especially needed. One month would cost £1800, three months would cost £2500.
The Destiny Garden School provides basic education for 3½ to 13 year old children in the suburbs of Mombasa. Volunteers are invited to join a well run and caring project. One month would cost £2700, three months would cost £3700.
Volunteer teacher required for new language school . One or two years preferred. The overall cost for one year is £6500.
Wylie Memorial High School invites Christian qualified teachers to volunteer for six months to a year in this modern, well-equipped institution in the Punjab. The cost for a year is £2250. Free board and lodging plus an honorarium of £35 a month.
Voluntary Service for Peace organises cross-cultural camps for adults and children in a variety of environments across South India and also runs an orphanage. One month’s placement costs approximately £2000, three months would cost approximately £2400.
Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Doctors, Nurses, Disabled Care Specialists, Social Workers: Serve God by serving the needy with this rehabilitation project in Yemen. Approximate overall cost for a three month placement would be £3000.
Interested in helping disabled people in Kenya? The Reach Out Disabled Foundation is seeking a volunteer for at least three months to manage and administrate the various programmes for disabled people of all ages. Cost: Three months approximately £2500.
Science teachers required in Tanzania. Up to four teachers are needed for Science subjects at a newly established Anglican secondary school for a minimum of six months. Cost: Six months £1800.
