“Africa 2000” is seeking a male volunteer to help set up viable local production and manufacturing companies using local produce in Akinale village, sixty miles from Lagos the capital. There is also a need for assistance with bid writing.  The total cost of one year’s placement includes flights, visa, insurance and Christians Abroad administration and at current prices this would be £2000. This does not include spending money for sight-seeing. Accommodation and meals are covered by a monthly allowance. Air fares may vary according to season.

An experienced engineering graduate with DIY enthusiasm, able to give a minimum of one year would be given an allowance of £120 a month and provided with shared accommodation in a three-bedroomed flat about sixteen miles from the project site. A jeep is available for transport to and from the site.

Please note: Christians Abroad has not yet recruited volunteers for this project but has received a good reference from the VSO organisation. It is not a specifically Christian project.
