The terms and conditions of policies issued by Christians Abroad are uniquely tailored for individuals and groups working on volunteer placements, workcamps or professional appointments in mission and development and may not be available directly through Endsleigh Insurance Services. Payment for policies are preferably made by BACS, an online banking service, but can also be made by cheque. See Payments.

 

Please initiate your insurance at the time your flights are booked. Do not leave your insurance until the last minute. Please allow up to four days from confirmation of your insurance, receipt of payment and issue of your insurance certificate. If you require insurance more quickly than this, then please contact Christians Abroad on 03000 121 201 where you can leave your telephone number and a message.


ARE YOU, OR IS EVERY MEMBER OF YOUR TEAM, 18 YEARS OLD OR OVER BUT UNDER 55 YEARS OLD? YES

You will be using the quote engine. When you have confirmed your interest in purchasing a policy, you will be given a quotation reference. Make a note of it or print it from your browser. Christians Abroad will be in touch with you by e-mail or telephone to confirm arrangements for payment and the issue of your certificat.

ARE YOU, OR IS ANY MEMBER OF YOUR TEAM, 55 YEARS OLD OR OVER BUT UNDER 65 YEARS OLD, OR BETWEEN 16 -18 YEARS OLD? YES

ARE YOU, OR IS ANY MEMBER OF YOUR TEAM, 65 YEARS OLD BUT UNDER 75 YEARS OLD? YES

  • Will you be working as a volunteer for less than six months? If you do not require manual work/power tools cover then follow THIS LINK.
    If you require manual work cover and or hand held power tools cover (included as standard with manual work cover in Single Trip policies) then follow THIS LINK
  • Will you be working as a volunteer for more than six months without returning to the UK? Endsleigh does not provide travel insurance for more than six months for travellers/volunteers who are over 65 years of age. It is possible to be covered by long term health insurance whilst overseas up to the age of 75 for longer periods than six months, but it is more expensive than travel insurance and the minimum period is one year. ARE YOU TRAVELLING WITH A YOUNG FAMILY AND NEED COVER FOR CHILDREN UNDER 16 YEARS OLD? YES

  • It is less expensive for one responsible adult to take out Single Trip insurance for the accompanying family under 16 years old, and for other adults in the group/family to consider Gap Year / Volunteer Insurance as above.
