Help with community development activities in southern Ghana.
Opportunities for volunteers to help in teaching, medical assistance, community health nursing, health care and social work in Tema, a district of the capital city Accra. One to six months placements available. Approximate cost for one month £2000, six months £3500 .The total cost does not include spending
money whilst on placement but does include the return air fare, travel
and health insurance, the relevant visa, food and accommodation and a
donation to Christians Abroad towards administrative costs.

Volunteer in health, education, journalism or the environment in India
Community based projects need volunteers in Madurai, Southern India. Local contact Miriam Sahayani arranges placements and accommodation. Cost: One month, £2000. Three months, £2500. The toal cost includes air fares, visa, insurance, accommodation, subsistence and the Christians Abroad administration fee. Air fares vary according to season.

Work with HIV/Aids Orphans in South Africa
The Beautiful Gate Medical Centre in South Africa, needs voluntary nursing help for HIV/Aids orphans and a volunteer Remedial Teacher to help the children with their homework in Mathematics, English and Xhosa. Cost: One month, £2100. The
total price includes air fares, visa, insurance, accommodation, meals
and a donation towards the cost of Christians Abroad administration.
Medical Opportunities in Cameroon
Opportunities for medical professionals and medical students in Cameroon, West Africa are available at St Elizabeth General Hospital, Shisong and at Bafut Medical Centre, a separate Medical Centre specialising in physiotherapy. Three month minimum placements preferred. Cost: Three months approximately £2500. A popular hospital for medical electives, early application is advised. The toal cost includes air fares, visa, insurance, accommodation, subsistence and a donation towards the cost of Christians Abroad administration.
