Work on an agroecological farm in Costa Rica.
Volunteers are always needed at La Gran Vista, an agroecological farm deep in the beautiful countryside of Costa Rica. Volunteers can stay for a minimum of one week - but most like to stay for a month, or more. The overall cost of a month's visit would be around £2000. This includes air fare, insurance, visa, food and accommodation and a donation towards the cost of Christians Abroad administration.
Help develop a rural community in Malawi
The Kachimbeka Project in northern Malawi is seeking a Christian administrator with experience in development work for a minimum of one year. Overall cost for one year approximately £3000. The overall cost includes air fares,
visa, insurance, food and accommodation and a donation towards the cost of Christians Abroad
administration. Air fares may vary according to season.
Help set up Rural Industries in Nigeria
“Africa 2000” is seeking a male volunteer to help set up viable local production and manufacturing companies using local produce in Akinale village, sixty miles from Lagos the capital. There is also a need for assistance with bid writing. The
total cost of one year’s placement includes flights, visa, insurance and
Christians Abroad administration and at current prices this would be
£2000. This does not include spending money for sight-seeing.
Accommodation and meals are covered by a monthly allowance. Air
fares may vary according to season.
Could I be a Volunteer?
You could be a volunteer if you are:
resident in the UK (even if temporarily), mainland Europe, the USA or Canada
an effective communicator in English
willing to work within Christian communities and support their values and interests.
single, part of a couple or parent of a family.
Could possibly raise or can afford approximately £1500.
