Support the local Christian community in Bethlehem.

altThe House of Bread church in Bethlehem welcomes volunteers who are willing to support the local Christian community. Visits have a four week maximum time limit. Accommodation and food are provided within a modern well-equipped house. Approximate cost for four weeks would be £2250.The total cost includes the return air fare, visa, insurance, CRB check, food and accommodation and a donation towards administration costs.

Christian work in Nazareth, Israel

altThe Nazareth Trust seeks suitable Christian volunteers for its three month summer programme (June to August) or its six month programme (November to April) called SERVE Nazareth. Activities will range from youth and children’s work, to work in local schools and churches, to general projects like painting and gardening as well as working with the Nazareth Hospital. The overall cost of the three month programme is £3000 and the six month programme £6000.  The SERVE Nazareth programme fees include food, accommodation, a three month language and culture preparation course plus the cost of flights, visa, travel within the country and the Christians Abroad administration fee. Air fares may vary according to season.

Work on development issues in Tanzania

titleThe Anglican diocese of Mara in Tanzania requires a volunteer with experience in development and fundraising to help train the Christians in the parishes on Development and Discipleship issues. One year minimum. Approximate cost for one year is £4500. The cost of getting out to this project, i.e. air fare, visa, insurance and admin costs for Christians Abroad are approximately £1800. Food and accommodation for one year would be approximately £2700. Air fares vary according to season, however.
