Help Children in Cameroon
United Action for Children needs volunteers to teach in nursery/primary schools, organize sports activities, assist in a ‘School on Wheels’ project in villages, teach basic computer, help in fundraising and help in office work. The cost for one month is £1800 and for three months £2200.
United Action for Children is a Christian organisation working with children in the towns and villages of western Cameroon, not far from the coast. A variety of activities rely on volunteer help for teaching, caring for and developing the lives of many children, many of whom are HIV/Aids orphans.

Induction and training are provided and volunteers have a dedicated ‘mentor’ to assist them get the most out of their stay.
Local tourist attractions include the 12000 ft Cameroon Mountain which can be visited during the free weekends.
A recent volunteer writes: “Volunteering in Cameroon was one of the best decisions I have ever made…. We missed our friends and families but this weighed little in comparison to the fantastic experiences we shared, the lasting friendships that we made and the incredible memories that we kept.”
Costs: The total cost includes air fares, visas, insurance, accommodation and meals and the Christians Abroad administration fee. It does not include spending money or tourism costs. Air fares vary according to season, however.
